The LP-E17 is the compact battery behind a wide spread of Canon cameras, from the mirrorless EOS R8, R10, R50, R100 and RP to DSLRs such as the EOS 250D, 800D and 850D. A spare is the simplest upgrade most owners can make, because smaller bodies drain a battery quickly with EVF use, video recording and wireless image transfer.
Each pack is a 7.2V, 1040mAh lithium-ion cell weighing about 45g, small enough to slip into a jacket pocket without noticeable bulk.
