Canon LP-E6NH Lithium-Ion Battery Pack

The LP-E6NH is the high-capacity version of Canon’s long-running LP-E6 battery, rated at 2130mAh, about 14 percent more than the LP-E6N it replaced. That extra headroom matters on power-hungry mirrorless bodies such as the EOS R5, R6, R6 Mark II and R7, where the electronic viewfinder, stabilization and 4K recording all draw continuously.

Because it keeps the same shape and contacts as earlier LP-E6 packs, it also works in cameras that use LP-E6 and LP-E6N batteries, including the EOS 5D Mark IV, 6D Mark II, 7D Mark II and 90D. Owners of mixed DSLR and mirrorless kits can standardize on a single battery type across every body.

Charging is flexible: use the LC-E6 or LC-E6E charger, or charge in camera over USB-C on compatible EOS R bodies with Canon’s PD-E1 USB power adapter, which is useful when travelling with fewer chargers. Older DSLRs such as the 5D Mark IV do not support in-camera charging, so they continue to use the LC-E6 charger.
