Canon LP-E6P Lithium-Ion Battery Pack

The LP-E6P was developed for the power demands of the EOS R5 Mark II, delivering a maximum discharge current of 6.0A so the camera can run its most demanding functions, including high-resolution video and fast bursts, at full capability. It is also the supplied battery for the EOS R6 Mark III.

It keeps the familiar LP-E6 form factor and a 7.2V, 2130mAh rating, and Canon lists it as compatible with all cameras powered by LP-E6-series batteries, so it doubles as a spare in bodies such as the EOS R6 Mark II, R7, 5D Mark IV or 90D. Mixed kits can run on one battery type across every body.

It charges in the LC-E6 or LC-E6E charger and weighs about 80g. For R5 Mark II and R6 Mark III owners in particular, carrying at least one spare LP-E6P is the simplest way to avoid cutting a long shoot short. Because it is a genuine Canon pack, the camera can also display its remaining charge and condition in the battery information menu.
