The EOS R5 Mark II pairs 45MP resolution with the speed of a stacked sensor, so landscape, studio and wildlife photographers no longer have to choose between detail and responsiveness. The back-illuminated stacked CMOS reads out fast enough for 30 fps electronic bursts with minimal rolling-shutter distortion, while the mechanical shutter still delivers 12 fps.

Autofocus combines Dual Pixel Intelligent AF with deep-learning subject detection, Action Priority for sport and Register People Priority for recognizing specific faces, and Eye Control AF lets you move the focus point simply by looking through the 5.76m-dot viewfinder. Pre-continuous shooting saves frames from before you fully press the shutter, and IBIS works with lens IS for up to 8.5 stops.

Video specs reach cinema level: internal 8K RAW up to 60p, 4K up to 120p, Full HD up to 240p, Canon Log 2 and Log 3, and 4-channel audio. A CFexpress Type B slot alongside UHS-II SD, full-size HDMI, Wi-Fi with 6GHz support where permitted, and the higher-output LP-E6P battery complete a body built for professional workloads.
