Canon RF 28mm f/2.8 STM Lens

The RF 28mm f/2.8 STM is the most compact and lightweight lens in the RF range, a true pancake just 24.7mm long and 120g, small enough that it can stay on the camera in place of a body cap. Fitted to an EOS R8, RP or R6 Mark II, it turns a full-frame camera into something you will actually carry every day.

28mm is a classic street and documentary focal length, wide enough for context yet natural in perspective, and on APS-C bodies such as the R50 or R10 it becomes a 45mm-equivalent everyday standard. The f/2.8 aperture helps after dark and separates subjects from busy backgrounds.

Three large plastic-molded aspherical elements keep the image sharp across the frame despite the tiny size, and close focus of 0.23m with 0.17x magnification suits food, tabletop and detail shots. The STM motor focuses quietly for video, and the 55mm filter thread fits standard filters.
